Apex Power Concepts, keeping true to its tradition of constant improvement, has embarked on research and development projects in partnership with various international consultants, including W S Atkins. The project here was to create a mock-up of a typical solar system installed on a building with 4 facades and a roof. A stand was created to have four sides with orientation of East, West, North and South faces. On each of these faces, modules made using different technologies like crystalline (mono- and multi-), thin films (A-Si, Micro morph, Cdte and others) were mounted. A few were also mounted on the top of the stand creating an environment of a typical roof installed solar system with optimal orientation. The output of each of the module is being monitored and recorded in real time using a BMS system implemented by our partners SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC. The data coming out of the system is quite promising.
